Looking for study in Canada? You need study permit if you are planning to study for more than 6 months. Study permit allows foreign nationals to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada. If you’re a legal resident in certain countries, you may be able to get your study permit faster by applying online through the Student Direct Stream.
Work Permit allows you to work in Canada for a temporary period. It can be open work permit (without any conditions) or conditional work permit with restrictions on employers and/or location of work.
Also called visitor visa, which allows you to stay in Canada temporarily for a maximum of 6 months per entry. Visitor visa can be single entry or multiple and multiple entry is generally valid for 10 years or till the passport expiry whichever comes first. Holding a TRV does not guarantee entry to Canada. If you are in Canada on TRV, you can apply for visitor record to extend your stay.
A super visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for 5 years at a time. It’s a visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years.
There are specific requirements for a super visa, including the need for health insurance. You must meet all the criteria to be eligible.
You can stay for upto 5 years at a time if applied after June 22, 2023.
The host must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident and must be financially stable. The host must meet minimum necessary income based on the family size.
If you’re otherwise inadmissible but have a reason to travel to Canada that is justified in the circumstances, you may be issued a temporary resident permit.
To be eligible for a temporary resident permit, your need to enter or stay in Canada must outweigh the health or safety risks to Canadian society, as determined by an immigration or a border services officer. Even if the reason you’re inadmissible seems minor, you must demonstrate that your visit is justified. You may have to attend an interview so that an officer can assess your application.
